Antiquing in Beautiful Astoria Oregon

October 7, 2009

Our holiday to Oregon was filled with adventures and lots of laughter.
But first Freya has patiently been waiting to wear her Halloween dress and 'matching' Halloween accessories. Can you feel her joy?

I love antiquing and finding little inexpensive (a must) treasures. I especially like antiquing on holiday. It is a great way to learn about the culture and settlers of the area. Astoria was full of antique fishing tools, glass buoys, nets, navigation maps and such. (Unfortunately no photo's were allowed inside the antique stores).

Sweet greeting cards and antique frogs.
It's a fun surprise to give a vintage birthday card with a beautifully wrapped gift.
Greeting cards are quite easy to find in antique stores and they are usually inexpensive.

An English earthenware pitcher.

I absolutely love British Monarch memorabilia. I am an self professed, obsessed Anglophile.
Two tins(!) from H.M Queen Elizabeth II's 2nd of June, 1953 coronation.

I have so many more photo's and adventure stories to share this week. So please keep popping in.
Happy Wednesday.
Your friend, Camille
