Giveaway!

February 2, 2010

Giveaway!

I have spent the last few days sewing Freya new spring dresses.
I really love sewing for her.
She is always so excited and grateful to receive new handmade clothes.
I wonder how long it will be until she will want 'store bought' clothes.

The first dress is an Oliver+S pattern.
I love making Oliver+S clothing.
The instruction are simple to understand.
For me that is an absolutely necessary.
I am fairly new to clothing sewing.

The second is a Simplicity pattern.
Sometimes those Simplicity pattern are not so simple to understand.

Heather Ross' 'Weekend Sewing' book is amazing.
If you would like to enter the giveaway please leave a comment.
Friday night Freya will pick a random name out of her big sombrero hat!
Good Luck!

  8. I finally got myself a sewing machine so I can begin my lifelong dream of sewing. I got the machine 5 years ago. I figured out how to thread it. It looks good sitting on my antique sewing table. OK...I admit it. I need help. Maybe this awesome book is the answer to all my sewing prayers. At the very least...it will keep my lonely sewing machine company until I take a lesson.

  21. I love to see what you have been sewing! My oldest daughter is past 9 and still wants only mama made clothing. Lucky me! Have you thought about doing the Jump Rope dress pattern?

  22. I think I have made that second dress before, and also found it a little too complicated for a child's garment. I've done other similar designs without a problem, though, so I'm sure there's an easier pattern out there. The dresses look amazing, either way! Thanks for the chance at your giveaway.

  23. I love the dresses, they are beautiful. I'm sure with dresses like that 'store bought' won't be preferable! I've heard that the book is great, a super idea for a giveaway!

  27. I agree about the Simplicity pattern being not so simple. My sewing consists of skirts for myself and patching holes in boys' jeans.
Please enter my name in your drawing for the Weekend Sewing book. Thanks!
